In fact, around 20% (approximately 47 $ million) of total Lebanese exports to Saudi Arabia are agri-related products, and 38% of total Lebanese agri exports to the Gulf region , goes to Saudi Arabia (Lebanese customs).

Lebanon is one of the most agriculturally productive markets in the region, capable of self-sufficiency in many sub-sectors.

The Agri-food sector is regarded as a major contributor to the country's economy. In fact, the industry employs 25% of Lebanon's private sector wage earners (Ministry of industry). These companies produce a variety of products, including canned and processed food, dairy products and baked goods.
